Founded in 2018 by Tahltan Elder and Canadian Mining Hall of Fame Inductee, Jerry Asp, and natural resource lawyer Sonia Molodecky, SRR is focused on creating local economic value from gold and copper offerings of Mother Earth, together with the value of intact ecosystems and their proper stewardship.
SRR operates as a social enterprise in partnership with the Global Indigenous Development Trust to support local economic development and land stewardship through the wealth generated from mining.
SRR’s focus is in the Golden Triangle, in Tahltan Territory. SRR shareholders and Board members are both Tahltan and non-Tahltan members.
The management team and Advisory is experienced across a broad range of fields and is committed to social, spiritual, ecological, cultural and economic success. Our people, processes and partnerships have been developed with the highest degree of rigour and consultation to support our unique approach.
